The Bug:
Certain baby entities can't decide whether to pathfind to their adults or to players that are tempting them.
Below is a list of mobs this affects. Please note that this table may be incomplete.
- Cows
- Sheep
- Pigs
Steps to Reproduce:
- Summon an adult cow a fair distance away from you by using the following command.
/summon minecraft:cow ~15 ~ ~ {NoAI:1b}
- Obtain some wheat and summon some baby cows at your location by executing the command provided below multiple times.
/summon minecraft:cow ~ ~ ~ {Age:-24000}
- Tempt the baby cows and make them follow you by holding the wheat in your hand.
- Observe the behavior of the baby cows closely.
- Take note as to whether or not certain baby entities can't decide whether to pathfind to their adults or to players that are tempting them.
Observed Behavior:
Certain baby entities can't decide whether to pathfind to their adults or to players that are tempting them, resulting in them spinning and behaving strangely.
Expected Behavior:
Certain baby entities would prioritize pathfinding to players that are tempting them over pathfinding to their adults.
