Death messages for named mobs appear in the game's log since 1.17.1, and can be used to track down the death cause of a named mob. Bees losing their stinger and dying after one minute produces the death message "<bee> died," which is the least descriptive way to explain why the bee died. Players not knowing that "died" means "lost their stinger and died" in the case of bees (unlike me) will be left confused as to why their pet bee died.

      How to reproduce:

      1. In the launcher, go to the settings and enable "Open output log when Minecraft: Java Edition starts."
      2. Launch the game.
      3. In a world, find or spawn a bee, punch it and let it sting you.
      4. Wait one minute.
      5. When the bee dies, look at the log.

What I expected to happen was:

The death message would describe how the bee died, which is the reason why named mob death messages were even added.

      What actually happened was:

The death message was "<bee> died."
