When you give yourself a high health boost and then remove it, you get dying screen, but when you click "respawn" nothing happens, except that you are stuck in dying state.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. give yourself health boost with /effect @s health_boost 999 255

2. fill all the hearts with /effect @s regeneration 999 255

3. after it fills up do /effect clear

Expected Result:

Extra hearts dissaper and nothing other happens.

Observed Result:

Player is visually stuck in dying state
