I've been having this problem lately where minecraft can take up to 3 hours to load into the game. I found out it was because of all my texture packs. but it really shouldn't be that bad. if the game can do 1mb per second then it should load for 2 minutes. but when I load into java it takes 3 hours and 37 minutes. I really doubt minecraft should load texture packs at 12.5kb per second when the game runs at 4gb of ram. I've tried reinstalling minecraft but that didn't do anything. I also unzipped all my texture packs and it still doesn't work. idk if my laptop is the problem or the game.
gonna put some extra info about my laptop here just for good measure
my texture packs are 159 mb total
my laptop is an HP brand
it uses AMD graphics
my JVM arguments are set to -Xmx4G -XX:+UnlockExperimentalVMOptions -XX:+UseG1GC -XX:G1NewSizePercent=20 -XX:G1ReservePercent=20 -XX:MaxGCPauseMillis=50 -XX:G1HeapRegionSize=32M -Ddiscordfix=net.minecraft.client.main.Main
I use optifine on my laptop
I've had this laptop for about 2 years
I use Windows 11 Insider Preview 22621.1 (ni_release)
my laptop is a terabyte hard drive and used 349gb of it so far
my system is 64 bit
