Put your operating system (Windows 7, Windows XP, OSX) and Java version if you know it here

Whenever I try to color text on a sign with a dye, the color appears more faded and distorted than it should. This issue has been present for quite a while now and was present in previous versions, however Jira only allowed me to select 1.19.
Say I want to make a sign's text light blue, so I use light blue dye to change the color. However, once I use the dye on the sign, it appears as a periwinkle-ish color rather than the vibrant sky blue it should be. This doesn't affect just light blue, as it affects all colors except black, which is the default sign text color. Some colors have greater differences than others, as evidenced in the included screenshots.
How to trigger:
1. Put some text on a sign.
2. Use a dye of any color on said sign.
