I use Linux and within Linux I have remapped my Caps Lock key to Escape. For years, Caps Lock has closed chests, opened the menu, and just generally acted precisely like Escape. I started playing with version 1.19 today and now Caps Lock doesn't perform like it used to.

In the Options | Controls | Key Binds menu, if I try to rebind a key to Caps Lock it says "Caps Lock" rather than Escape. I would have expected this to be invisible to minecraft, since it's a system rebinding. However, using Caps Lock in the chat window does not actually toggle character case. To be clear, the keybinding still works everywhere else, just not in minecraft anymore.

This is an irritating bug because it forces me to use the true escape key, which is not ergonomic and goes against the habit I've built up over time.
