When you trigger a sculk shrieker for the fourth time and a warden spawn fails (for example, an area with mostly air), shriekers will still apply darkness to the player. This leads me to believe it's a bug because if the gamerule doWardenSpawning is set to false, shriekers won't play any warden sound or apply any effect to the player.
Expected result
If a warden spawn fails after triggering a shrieker, it wouldn't apply darkness to the player.
Observed result
Even if the warden spawn fails, the shrieker still applies darkness.
How to reproduce
- Place a shrieker high up in the air, with "can_summon" set to true.
- Trigger the shrieker a few times.
- After the third attempt, warden will try to spawn.
- If the spawn fails, the shrieker will still apply darkness to the player.
