The bug
Looking closely at block_marker particles created with a repeating command block can cause lag if fullscreen is on.
How to reproduce
- Use this command to create a repeating command block that will generate the particle:
/setblock ~ ~-1 ~ repeating_command_block{Command:"particle block_marker{block_state:\"minecraft:stone\"} ~ ~2 ~ 0 0 0 0 0 force",auto:1b} replace
- Open the debug screen with the Frame time graph (Alt + F3)
- Turn on fullscreen (F11)
- Get as close as you can to the particle an then move away
See if your fps drops as you get closer - Turn off fullscreen (F11 again) and repeat step 4
