I exited from a game using "Save and Quit to title" button.
I then went to single player and hit the create new world button.

I the game ended abruptly and I was offered a crash report and a button to report it and found myself setting up yet-another password and user name thing for use with minecraft. (Minecraft.net, the forum, curse, and now this... really?).. sorry.. off topic rant.
Yeah, it just crashed and left me on the desktop alone with with the launcher and it's crash report.

Steps to Reproduce:
The program brought me here. I have no idea why. Not a programmer you see.
First time it's happened. I suppose that would make it an intermittent behavior.
