Sand/Gravel does not fall when following this procedure.

1. Find any plant (besides sugar cane).
2. Put sand on top of plant (but not falling sand).
3. Take away the block supporting the plant.
4. Observe sand floating
5. Sand will fall if anything is placed adjacent to the sand.
