I was just playing on HavenMC as I do almost everyday. It is a Bukkit Server running many plugins, Towny being prominent among those. I typed 'Can I join a new town?' in the chat, and expected for my message to be sent over the server.

What actually happened was the that the game crashed. There was no hanging or freezing; it simply shut down. I have reproduced this bug multiple times over multiple servers after the initial crash. I cannot chat in any server.

      Steps to Reproduce:
      1. Launch Minecraft
      2. You can keep the launcher open or close it as soon as the game loads.
      3. Join a Multiplayer.
      4. Attempt to send a chat message by a) hitting the 't' key, b)typing your message, and c) hitting the enter key.
      5. The game immediately shuts down with no visible lagging or hanging.
