Place some pointed dripstone, give yourself a trident, switch yourself to adventure, and throw the trident at the dripstone.  The dripstone still breaks, forcing adventure map creators to either use command blocks to constantly replace every single last one on the map, or just accept the fact that they can't use dripstone without that one little brat on your server meandering over and effortlessly greifing this part of your adventure map just like he did to your perfectly organized flower pot collection.

If this is intentional behavior, a gamerule or even a tag would also be nice please. The unorganized flower pots already gave me enough PTSD. lol
