Since smooth basalt generates in the overworld and not the nether it doesn't make sense for it to be grouped with the nether blocks. I expected it to be grouped with calcite and the other new 1.17 stone blocks.

It also doesn't have to be near regular basalt because some stones are not near their smooth variants in the creative inventory.

This is not a feature request due to a comment on this bug: MC-183540.

However, this still may be intended.
