If a group of bees are taken to a biome where they do not naturally spawn, they will not create a nest, even if given several types of tree generated from saplings, plenty of grass, and plenty of flowers. Even when constrained to a sealed area (e.g. a greenhouse) they pollinate the flowers but refuse to create nests.
Steps to reproduce:
- Create a grassy area in a biome in which bees do not naturally spawn, such as a desert.
- Populate the area with saplings and flowers
- Either conjure bees via Bee Eggs in Creative or leash bees from neighbouring forest-type biomes, and lead them to the area created in 1.
- Optionally seal off the area, to force the bees to operate only near the trees and flowers
Expected result:
The bees should create a nest against the trees
Actual result:
No such nest is ever created, even after excessive time.
