Cannot send chat message minecraft crashes when I type everyone

      when in adventure mode I cannot break blocks or when I type in vote everyone, the whole thing crashes me back to the start screen with a crash report.
      I tried renaming the bin folder and starting again but I still get the same result.

      when I type in vote everyone then I can be in that map and everyone else will.
