Not entirely sure if this counts as a feature request but it definitely is inconsistent, makes no sense and is pretty inconvenient. Also, as this already applies to nether stars, the fact it isn't extended to other places that make sense seems like a major oversight.
Blast-resistant materials such as bedrock, obsidian and full blocks of netherite can withstand any blast achievable in vanilla survival when in placed block form. However, if in item form, absolutely any explosion can completely delete them from existence, which is outright nonsensical. Nether stars, on the other hand, are completely immune to all explosions as an item.
The expected behaviour would be that none of these items are destroyed by explosions.
Items resistant to explosions could be controlled by an item tag.
This closely relates to MC-123217 as it also results in normally blast-resistant materials becoming susceptible to most explosions.
