What I expected to happen was...: it to be laggy free

i thought i should get the same amount of fps that i do in 1.5.2
What actually happened was...: i got much much much worse fps in a range of 5-20 and i couldnt enjoy the game i usually get 50-70 fps in 1.5.2 and sometimes much above that such as 100'S

i downloaded the 1.6 launcher for minecraft from the home page of mojang
then i opened it and began to play but i couldnt because everything was freezing for a second and then returing to normal but freezing yet more A.K.A. lag

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Put a step by step guide on how to trigger the bug here
2. ...download 1.6
go into it and play it
3. ...you will find it to be much laggier than 1.5.2
