To replicate exact circumstances.
An Iron Golem in a 2x2x3 square of iron was bathing in lava (no source blocks remained).
Spammed Golem with Splash potion of fire resistance prior.
Water was poured on top of the golem to remove the remaining lava.
This did not have the desired affect of turning the remaining lava into cobblestone.
Instead it crashed the game completely.
What I expected to happen was...:
Non-source lava would turn to cobble upon touching water.
What actually happened was...:

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Make a 2x2x3 iron block enclosure
2. Place an Iron Golem within.
2.5. SPAM Golem with splash potion of fire resistance
3. Place lava at its foot.
4. Remove lava when lava spreads.
5. Place water on top to remove lava.
6. Game crashed.
