The pointed dripstone removes items from the ground and replaces them with pointed dripstone. This may be related to MC-206594 and MC-206642.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Place a base block.
2. Place another block higher leaving 4 air blocks between them.
3. Place 3 pointed dripstone down from the upper block.
4. Drop any item on the block below.
5. Break the block above so that the pointed dripstone falls.
6. Empty your inventory and collect the items that are on the ground.

 Observed results:

 There are 4 pointed dripstones in your inventory.

Expected Results:

In your inventory there are 3 pointed dripstones and the item that was on the ground.
