As other simular reports (like with banners, bamboo, kelp or signs) are considered valid, I'm sure this one is supposed to be valid too. They shouldn't break together, but one after the other, just like other blocks that need support.

Only affects pointed dripstone that points up, as the one that points down falls if the block is broken above it.

1) Place around 10-20 pointed dripstones in a column

2) Break the bottom one

3)  They all break at the same time, which may cause performance issues
