The bug
Note that this is the opposite of MC-193495 and only one of them can be considered a bug while the other one has to be intended.
Beds consist of two parts, the head and the foot. However, when an enderman is carrying a bed, the complete bed (head and foot) is rendered even though the enderman only places one part of it.
Note that for decoration purposes the behavior described in this report this might be desired.
Reproduction steps
- Summon multiple endermen holding beds
/summon minecraft:enderman ~ ~ ~ {carriedBlockState:{Name:"red_bed",Properties:{part:head}}}
/summon minecraft:enderman ~ ~ ~ {carriedBlockState:{Name:"red_bed",Properties:{part:foot}}}
The endermen are rendered holding a complete bed
- Wait until one of the endermen places a bed
Only the respective part of the bed is placed
