I am looking north. The curved rail near the center of the screenshot is supposed to be an east-west rail, but after the sticky piston extended and then retracted, this rail became the east-to-south curved rail that you see here. It changed in an attempt to connect to a powered rail that it can't connect to. I kinda tried to fix it by replacing the rail to the west of the glitchy rail, but then that rail also tried to connect to a powered rail. This is absolutely infuriating because it breaks things that worked perfectly a few versions ago.
I don't think it matters, but the coordinates of the curved rail that I mentioned are -151.5, 4, -106.5

(I've also seen a rail become sloped in an attempt to connect to a higher up sloped rail that was not in the correct orientation for the lower rail to have a possibility of connecting to it.)
