The Bug

You are able to use bone meal on twisting vines and bamboo that can’t grow higher because of build hight limit. This affects bamboo and twisted vines, but not kelp.

How to reproduce:

1. Plant bamboo or twisted vines near buld hight limit
2. Switch to survival mode
3. Use bone meal on it

What I expected to happen: When you reach build hight limit you aren’t able to use it.
What actually happened: You can still use the bone meal when you reach build hight limit and you will consume the bone meal in survival. You wasted the bone meal.
