So the player throws the fishing rod in and everything is normal, until you get a bite, then you can't reel it in until the fish the fish is gone. I've tried this in Creative, Survival, and Hardcore, but it doesn't work. I've only checked in 20w18a. (I've looked for the same issue but I couldn't find any like mine.) So... sorry if you have already heard this.
