Compass (texture) flickers and disappears when going near world spawn point.

What I expected to happen was...:
The compass texture should not flicker, nor disappear.

What actually happened was...:
The compass texture flickers and disappears for a short amount of time, even the texture for the Search Tab in Creative.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Enter a world in Creative
2. Get a compass
3. Go to the world spawn point
4. Walk around and You'll see the compass flicker and disappear for a short time
