Im sorry for not being able to specify the issue because im not that tech savvy and especially in java. I went through every thread I could find to no avail and did I forget to mention the frustrating 2 hours I spent.
Main Thing: I have an MSI computer but I haven't had a record of incompatibility issues... yet...
here's my rundown
>I bought mine craft today
>I tried playing the "latest" version in the current native launcher (1.15.2)
>It said java heap space was not enough... You can see the first attached file for the log
>I've seen enough virtual machinery to know what that sort of meant so I went to JVM arguements and changed the -Xmx2G to -Xmx4G to no avail
>I went all the way to 60 gigabytes despite having 32 gigabytes on my computer but atleast I made a system restore point
>Same error...Same error so I change heap size to no avail
>I followed some leads and saw back in 2014 some folks on minecraft forums saw that tinkering with the profile section of their native launchers worked
>I didn't seem too have a profile section (took 10 minutes to figure out)
> so I went online and tried touching some stuff but all I managed to do was get told my username couldn't get changed as I spent too little time on minecraft
>Followed some more threads and found that some users back in 2012 messed with the actual Java preset... I followed their instructions... You may see the second attached file
>once again, nothing happened and I wanted to punch my screen so badly I went into unity to restore my ego that I was still a qualified programmer
> Troubleshooted... said minecraft was for windows eight.... So I made a virtual machine and nothing worked
>Overclocked my processor.... I really shouldnt have..... didn't work
>asked how to optimize minecraft JVM arguements... found https://xealgaming.net/threads/optimising-your-minecraft-jvm-arguments.4758/
and copied that code...
>Didn't work so I reread the page
>Needed to download optifine but to use optifine had to change to minecraft 1.4.1
>Optifine did nothing but make another option in version selector
>Tried Minecraft 1.00... Failed miserably... stuck on generating world even with simple graphics and max fps... crashed the game and that infuriating "wE aPOloGize fOr THe inConvieNience"
>honestly part of me feels bad for mocking people just trying to do their job but after hour 1, I lost humanity
>Tried minecraft up till 1.5.2 and finally got a different error.... YAY!!! you may see the attached in the third file
>Scrolled through and found top ten bugs.... wow you guys are really taunting me now but when I read it... the squid milk was honestly a pretty funny bug
>Found common bugs page (NullPointerException) really caught my eye... So I tried touch screening to see if something would happen but it didn't...
>Either way I was sitting on it and I remembered I saw this in the logs... saw that some mods broke the files and would cause NullPointerException
>uhh Optifine... oh shoot
>Repaired minecraft with installer...
>Notice tasks running, Explains why sometimes the launcher would open and sometimes why not
>Minecraft says im playing already and If I join again they dont care if files corrupt
>Decide to scrap it all entirely and delete and redownload minecraft
>doesnt work so I download guest minecraft
>why does guest minecraft work??
>Try turning java to version 7 but minecraft just turns it back
Is this intentional to try to make me buy bedrock?? I just want to play minecraft pleaaaase
