    Description

      The bug

      Horses, pigs and striders controlled by the player take reduced knockback compared to when the player is not controlling them (i.e. not riding them or not holding Carrot / Fungus on a Stick).

      Reproduction steps

      1. Summon a skeleton with a punch bow (ideally encase the skeleton and slightly lower it into the ground); alternatively you can have another player with a punch bow
        /summon skeleton ~ ~ ~ {HandItems:[{id:bow,Count:1b,tag:{Enchantments:[{id:punch,lvl:7s}]}}]}

        Note: This uses an unsupported Punch enchantment level to make it more obvious; however this can also be reproduced using supported enchantment levels.

      2. Summon a strider, saddle it and ride it
      3. While not holding a Fungus on a Stick, make the skeleton / other player shoot the strider you are riding
        You are knocked back a long distance
      4. Now while holding a Fungus on a Stick, make the skeleton / other player again shoot the strider you are riding
        You are only knocked back a relatively short distance (compared to the previous step)
