Alright, I have made a previous post about this without trying a newer version of MC(I'll just copy it again) .Hi, I had found out that there are domains in different languages a few months ago and I was wondering why it doesn't seem to work in Minecraft. I purchased a couple of domains to see if they would work with different combinations, but none of them seemed to function well. At first I bought some generic full chinese characters domain to test it. Lets say for example 汉字.中国. This didn't seem to work when connecting to my server. But if I typed it out how it shows up on the domain website with ex. xn-p8s370b.xn-fiqs8s it would then work. I then bought a domain with just a chinese characters first part so for example 汉字.com and that didn't seem to work either so I then bought one that was like Server.中国 and this didn't work either. Why is that Minecraft servers only seem to work with punycode? Thank you for taking the time to read this, have a good day! Also I have just today tested it out with newer versions of MC and like I said it my previous post, it didn't work. Now when I use the punycode it works fine, but when I connect with just the chinese characters, it doesn't work(I'll post the error of what I get when I try to connect with the chinese characters). EDIT: I had a chat with my Domain provider and they said the issue has to do with MC.
