I was just exploring and mining a long set of caves under my house, when all of a sudden a creeper blind sided and killed me. I forged some new armor and ran back. Finding the place where I died took me about 90 seconds, but when I got there everything I mined was gone. My gear, all the ore, and full stack of diamonds I managed to find. Not even the xp that the dead body drops was there anymore (I was lvl 33 when I died - so I should get 7 level back). Is this a bug? Even if the creeper explosion managed to destroy a full inventory, at least the xp should be there, right? Did it just all despawn? But I remember being able pick up stuff loong after I died, and I really hauled back for this one.
