Arrow Entities on the ground or in-flight receive a blue particle effect after leaving and re-joining a world, possibly relating to the presence of a beacon.
The expected outcome was for the arrow to remain the same, having no particles when near a beacon upon re-logging. Basically, the same state as it was left.
What happened, however, was that the arrows gained an unexpected effect from the presence of a beacon, emitting the same blue particle regardless of what effect the beacon is giving.
To replicate this issue:
1. Create a beacon of any size, and activate its effects.
2. Fire an arrow with either a bow or crossbow.
3. Leave the game.
4. Rejoin.
The effect can be replicated in both creative and survival. I also found that the arrows do not apply the effects they are given. In fact, the arrows, upon re-logging, do not hurt the player (I tested this by firing an arrow upward and trying to catch it). I did not test this on other mobs.
The files attached show the arrows before and after re-logging.
Upon further testing, it appears the arrows gain the particle effects regardless of whether there was a beacon on-sight or not. I tested this by creating another world and following the procedures above, this time without the beacon. This proved that the arrows getting effects were unrelated to the beacon.
