when im using a horse and put my hprse underwater, im forced to dismount my horse, and whats supposed to happen is that the horse swims and so do i. but what happened to me was that after i was forced to dismount my horse in water, and i floated up, my horse was gone. literally gone, there was nothing there. saving and exiting and then reopening the world fixed it, but i thought you guys should check it out
