Chunk loading
When facing in the south direction, Minecraft will only render blocks and chunks 90 degrees left and right from the direct south pole direction, ending at your position [see images]. While the game assumes your direction is primarily facing south, you are able to turn enough to one side to see the area where chunks have stopped rendering. Upon your primary pole changing, say, to the east [see images], this problem is alleviated. This effect does not occur with any other pole or direction. EDIT: This bug does occur and act the same when facing in the north direction, but not east and west (see the latest attachment)
