My family has been shipping villagers via minecarts to our home bases on the realm. My mom had a large amount of villagers (approximately 50).  They were encased in a location that they couldn't escape from. There were fences all around. My mom was building villager houses to give them their own little town. We updated to 1.14.1 and now, however, now she is down to only 3 villagers. There is one house in her village that you can hear at least one or two villagers but you cannot see them. We tried digging under the house a bit to see if there was some sort of hole in the ground, but there was nothing. They sound like they are right beside you when you are in the house. It's not the invisible merchant either, because there are no llamas and no particles. On my account and my computer, I can go over to her village and experience the same thing.

We have tried walking away from the village, my sister took the realm offline for a bit, adjusting our render distance, etc. 

I live a few chunks (maybe 7 or 8?) away from my mom and I have an even larger village. None of my villagers seem to have disappeared, in fact, they keep spawning like crazy. My sister lives several chunks away in the next biome over and her village is fine too. It's just my mom's.
