I have noticed that having a relatively medium amount of bamboo placed down and growing causes huge amounts of lag on the local end, and on higher end PCs, tons of stuttering.
I have a 14*15 (210) area of bamboo that is only allowed to grow up a few blocks, maybe 3 or 4, and I get horrendous framerates/stuttering when getting within maybe 10-15 blocks of them.
All of the lag immediately dissipates when removing the bamboo with /fill
I'm not sure what exactly causes it in the rendering but it feels like it's being rendered oddly. I do not experience any other even remotely comparable lag with similar amounts of tile entities.
