I activated LAN in my Minecraft game, but for some reason it wasn't showing up on the PC adjacent to me.
The host is running through a wired connection, and the client is connected wirelessly to the same network. Both have the same version of Minecraft.
I decided to reload both games to see if that would fix it. It did not; the issue persisted.
Then I had the brilliant idea to try directly connecting to the host. I pulled up the IP configuration information in Command Prompt, entered my IPv4 address followed by the port, and was able to connect the two games via LAN.
// 192.168.1.22:51295 <- The LAN server's IP on the local network
Why isn't the LAN game being detected and indexed like normal?
