in a brand new world of 1.14, flat world there seems to be literally no limit on how far away a villager can be from a workstation to be assigned a profession.

i've placed a number of different workstations 48 blocks away from the only villager within over 300 blocks of my current location. no matter what workstation i place, a newly placed villager after that will become that profession. from what i've heard, the limit was to search 8 blocks horizontally.
