If the Riptide Trident is used, the shield moves to the position of the mainhand slot. (Only in the GUI, not in the hotbar.) This obscures the vision a lot, as could be seen in the attached image. The Trident itself can't be seen anymore.

When the Trident stops trusting/launching, everything becomes normal again.

If third-person view is used, you can play normal, without anything obscuring the view, however this is a lot of effort for one little jump or launch.
