Upon loading the server world from the client side I see chunks that were not dark before. Upon getting close to these chunks mobs spawn and fall from the trees. Being a member of the game community since 1.1 (1st account lost, 2nd account opened in 1.2 versions), a patched lighting bug was dark spots on mountainsides that were purely visual and could be fixed by causing a chunk update. Now these dark areas have returned and are even larger and more resilient. Placing torches at their borders only lights up the area as if it were night. Placing a block next to them causes no change, and whenever I try to build in the area it still stays dark. Mobs spawn in the day time and catch me off-guard, even when I think all is well. My server is using a sleeping data pack, but I am not sure if that is the cause. I wish I could provide more detail, but this bug was way beyond my control. I also tried reloading the chunks using an [F3] + Q control command, but the dark chunks stayed. Any help will be much appreciated.
