The chunks are:

1. invisible (unseeable),
2. not able to interact with (can't snip sheep wool when sheep is on the invisible chunk), 
3. never finished loading,
4. slow when player tries to walk on it,
5. causing mobs to turn dark if made contact with it,
6. disappearing and invisible when walking far away and coming back,

When I close the game and restarted my Minecraft launcher, and reopened the game, the chunks are now visible, but still does not work, despite being visible after restart.

1. any previous items that were dropped on the chunks are unable to be picked up by the player
2. if try to break a block on the now-visible chunk, the block will not drop as an item, and water beside it will not flow towards the empty space

What I expected to happen was...:
The chunks to finish loading and for me to walk on the sweet, sweet Minecraft land and continue exploring. 

What actually happened was...:
It never finished loading and sometimes I can't walk on the unloaded chunks. can't interact with anything on the unloaded chunks either, because I was trying to snip wool from a sheep which does nothing when I right click from a loaded chunk to a sheep on an unloaded chunk.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Play Minecraft for about an hour.
2. Go exploring on new land for animals because there were no animals around spawn.
3. Sees unloaded chunks. Walk closer to chunks, only to see the chunks never generating.

4. Go back home, near spawn. Explored Minecraft chunks around spawn also disappear (see screenshot)

5. restart Minecraft game

6. Chunks are now visible, but unable to interact with, still. Break a block on the previously-invisible chunk. does not drop a block item, nor does it make a sound.

7. after 10 seconds or so, every block everywhere does not make a sound, even on the chunks that weren't previously invisible. opening and closing doors do not make sounds, fisting a grass block to break does not make a sound. my dog does not make a bark sound anymore. everything is like mute.
