Chests will not open when Item is in hand / Shift is sticking

      I went to open my chest with an item in hand and it would not open. Nothing was over the chest to keep it from opening. I tried this with Ender and Trapped chests as well and the same thing occurred.

      What I expected to happen was...:
      My Chest to open with item in hand

      What actually happened was...:
      Chest did not open.

      Steps to Reproduce:
      1. Walked into my stable.
      2. Item in hand
      3. Click to open chest
