Attempting to place a shulker box in a spot that a chest has been placed ( or vise versa ) causes several bugs to occur, depending on the order
All of these were done in creative on a superflat world.
Placing a chest, deleting it, and then placing a shulker box causes the game to crash with the error code
The game crashed whilst rendering block entity
Error: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Cannot get property bry{name=facing, clazz=class ex, values=[north, south, west, east]} as it does not exist in Block{minecraft:shulker_box}
Upon reloading, the shulker box is correctly placed, and functions. This occurs with any of the three types of chest (Ender, Trapped, or normal). Deleting and replacing the shulkerbox causes no bugs to occur
Placing a shulker box, deleting it, and then placing a chest causes the chest to look like the shulker box previously deleted. If the chest is made into a double chest, the chest next to it will be completely invisible.
Both of these bugs fix themselves either by crash or by reloading the game, and both occur if the shulker box is destroyed via piston
