Put the summary of the bug you're having here

What I expected to happen was...:
Once I filled the large area with air with the /fill command, the light level from light source should have updated to 0.

      What actually happened was...:
The light levels did not update even after exiting and re-entering the world. It only gets fixed after restarting Minecraft.

      Steps to Reproduce:
      1. Fill a large area with blocks and include light emitting blocks. The bug has been generated when light emitting blocks are placed above ground level.
      2. Replace the area with air using the /fill command.
      3. No light levels are changed on the ground until the block at which the original light source is updated.
