/tp to -787 70 -2572, there is a stronghold below that point.
Locate the end portal and plop in the misssing eye of endesr. Go through the portal, defeat the dragon. A end city portal spawns just besides the end spawn point, throw an ender pearl into it, and you are immediate returned to the end spawn point, not to a new return portal near an end city.

I re-tested it in 1.13.2, and there it works.
