So basically I was testing out the snapshot, and I rode my horse off an unloaded chunk and then got off the horse, and went back into the loaded chunk and the player is completely invisible in F5 mode, but you can still he his arm when in 1st person.

So, I found that if I take a screenshot with f3 open, I became re-visible. However, it may just be that it takes time to become re-visible again b/c when I crouch on the end of the unloaded chunk and re-enter the loaded one, it takes like 5s to become re-visible again. So the screenshot thing could have just been perfect timing.
