My friends and me causally playing Minecraft together, some of my friends and me decided to create a wall around the world for our map purposes. And then suddenly the walls that were made of polished andesite were turning into dirt. It perplexed my friend and me. The surrounding chunks around it were also affected, with blocks just turning into dirt and items like saplings and apples falling out of the sky. The chunks that are affected are ones that go in diagonal series of each other, and stretches on for a long distance. The dropping of items and these chunks are global and affect the game's FPS. In some particular cases, removing the dirt results in the dirt coming back, even in survival mode, mining the dirt results in the block dropping and be able to be picked up and used but the dirt also comes back, basically infinite dirt. Fire in the game also doesn't spread even when doFireTick is true.
