I made a map on my world on my laptop, which runs Linux, and it immediately caused lag. The game didn't respond to me clicking on my crafting table or chest. Tossing away the map and reloading the world fixed it.

On the Mac the map appeared to work fine for the first few levels, but when i raised it to level 3/4 it glitched per the attached image. I exited the world and reentered and it was fine, but as i walked around there is noticeable lag in the map updating, most noticeable with the direction you're facing. Damage lags too, i took fall damage and it was a few seconds later before i actually hurt.

Also, possibly related, i looked at the sun and it was stuttering? It did the normal slow creep across the sky, but then would jitter backwards
