Disclaimer: I have a premium account and I was therefore not trying this for my own gain.
I just saw this as a advert on Youtube; someone is claiming to allow people to play minecraft for free. They are "distributing" Minecraft version 1.4.2 (I know the version of this report says 1.5.1, that's only because I can't type in 1.4.2 [I have to select from the drop down list]). After downloading it came up with "minecraft.exe" with a different logo to the actual installer and on trying to run this it is not the actual installer. I have not continued passed this point as I strongly suspect that it contains a Trojan.
I wouldn't report this normally, but it's a YouTube advert! Hope this helps in someway...
P.S. I have blurred out all information significant to the video I was watching as I do not believe he was endorsing this although I will reveal this if necessary. Also, sorry I'm reporting this here, I didn't know where else to post this.
