I'm currently running windows 10 with Java version 8 Update 161

This seems to be caused by broken resource packs which have NULL characters in pack.meta.
Workaround: Navigate to .minecraft/resource-packs/ and move all the files in there into some other folder.
Before the official release of 1.13 I tried downloading the snapshots and they all gave me the same crash reports. I left it and just decided to wait for 1.13. Now that it's out I just get the same crashing report.
Crash report:
The game crashed whilst initializing game

I got that I needed to add the full crash report from this (MCL-9004) issue and I really hope someone can help me to fix this. If you want to know anything I'll check this often, thanks!
