water joins together when used from a dispenser when the blocks under are not water blocks.

*What I expected to happen was my mob farm dispensers to use the water and then 10 min later pick it back up and then repeat the hole thing a again.

*What actually happened was water comes out of the dispensers and then starts to make water source blocks.
