The texture for the stripped jungle logs connects with itself best when placed horizontally, as opposed to vertically, unlike other stripped log and log blocks. The texture conforms to the original jungle log texture aside from a dark line at the top and bottom which makes the block seem sideways when it is in fact facing upwards. The jungle log texture does not behave this way, and works well when oriented both ways, but when stripped it seems as if, due to the horizontal nature of the bark on the jungle log, the texture of the stripped jungle block was treated as other stripped logs are when horizontal, without regard to the already horizontal nature of the bark's texture. This may very well be intentional design but it is incredibly disorienting and seems like a mistake. The pictures I included do a much better job describing what I'm trying to say. Enlarging the images is highly recommended.
